We're getting there...........
L and C have been arguing lately and it's taken a new turn. L repeats everything C says. You know in that really annoying way that only a sibling can really do? Echolalia is what my mom called it. I call it annoying. Hee hee. So, L was in C's space, dancing around her, trying to get her attention so she would play with him, but she was engrossed in her own game. He still wouldn't leave her alone and continued to dance around her, agitating. Her frustration was growing. She turned to him and said, "L, do you know that some kids don't fight? They don't. I want us to be kids who don't fight. O.K.?"
Needless to say, it was awesome!! She didn't take L's bait, she simply stated a very reasonable argument in favor of civility!
MP and I have been waiting for this next level of maturity and rationality! You go, girl!

Siblings
I just heard the ultimate sibling exchange:
Chloe says to Louis: "Do you want to play Uno?"
Louis: "No."
Chloe: "C'mon. I'll let you win."
Louis: "O.K."
Now that's desperation for a six year old! We are weathering the absence of school alright. It's hardest on Chloe, I think. She really wishes she could be in Mrs. Nessen's class right now.
I am actually enjoying being housebound today. I like the really slow pace of the day with no necessary errands or transitions. I wonder if school will resume tomorrow.........
